Fix It Yourself, Save Your Money
DIY isn't about being a professional. It's about not paying someone $200 to tighten 3 screws. Most home and tool problems are simple once you have the right mindset: start small, stay safe, and don't force it.
Rule #1 - The Right Tool: Using a butter knife as a screwdriver will just strip the screw and cut your hand.
Get a basic toolkit: hammer, screwdrivers, wrench, tape measure, and duct tape. That covers 80% of problems.
Rule #2 - Turn Off The Power: Working on anything with electricity or water? Shut it off first.
Unplug it. Turn off the breaker. 5 seconds of caution saves you a trip to the ER.
Rule #3 - YouTube Is Your Friend: Stuck? Search "how to fix [your problem] + model number".
Someone has filmed it. Watch it once, then do it.
Mess up? That's how you learn. Every pro started by breaking something. The goal isn't perfection. The goal is getting it working without calling your dad.
